A third in-state player has been invited to Nike's The Opening finals in Beaverton, Ore.

Harold Joiner, a four-star recruit from Mountain Brook, was officially added to the roster on Wednesday. The Opening Finals will be from June 28-July 3 in Oregon.

Joiner has offers from around the country, and added one from Southern Cal earlier this week. LSU is his leader, as the Tigers have given him the best opportunity to play running back.

Many schools see the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Joiner as one who could shine at almost any position on the field, including running back, receiver, tight end, linebacker or safety.

oiner joins Park Crossing offensive lineman Tank Jenkins and Central-Phenix City receiver Justyn Ross as players who earned an invite to the Opening from Alabama. Ross shined at the Atlanta Regional and was picked that day. Jenkins, the offensive line MVP at the Charlotte Regional, becomes No. 2.

Joiner also participated and did well at the Atlanta Opening Regional.

Two quarterbacks - Sidney Lanier's James Foster and Saraland's Jack West - earned invites to the Elite 11 finals next weekend in Los Angeles. They could advance from there to The Opening Finals.
