The fourth annual MedCenter Capstone Classic begins Monday at Shelton State Community College.

More than 20 college basketball prospects and coaches with a combined nine state championships and more than 15 final fours highlight this year’s eight-team field.

Teams participating include American Christian Academy, Bibb County, Cordova, Hillcrest, Hoover, Mountain Brook, Paul W. Bryant and Prattville Christian.

“It takes a lot of work,” ACA head coach Greg Crowe said. “Boostr Digital started the tournament, and we’ve just grown it. MedCenter jumped on board to help us this year, and now it’s a destination tournament. There are people that call and want to be in it, and next year has already taken great shape a year ahead. The crowd was better last year than ever, and we expect it to be better this year.”
