Bowling Bowl

Mountain Brook Bowling Wins Region

Mountain Brook Bowling went undefeated in Region play

The Mountain Brook bowling team put together a historic season, winning the Region for the first time ever and finishing region play undefeated.

Mountain Brook set the tone early with a big win over Shades Valley (1169–965) and followed it up with strong performances against Gardendale, including a 1299–1060 victory. The team stayed locked in all season, sweeping Woodlawn in back-to-back matches and continuing to build momentum with wins over Mortimer Jordan, Minor, and Parker.

One of the most impressive stretches came on November 20, when Mountain Brook defeated Mortimer Jordan (1186–863), Minor (1186–1109), and Parker (1186–823) all in the same day. The Spartans also posted their highest score of the season with a 1360–961 win over Parker on December 10.

Back-to-back victories over Homewood — including a close 1284–1228 match and a 1296–1188 win — helped secure the undefeated regional record. Mountain Brook closed out region play by defeating Shades Valley once again, 1069–941.

The team is currently 15–1 overall and riding a 15-game winning streak. Every match showed the team's depth, focus, and confidence, making this season one that will be remembered as a milestone for Mountain Brook bowling.
