Reagan Rape collected three hits in three at bats, but Mountain Brook Varsity Spartans lost to Boaz Varsity Pirates 15-6 on Friday. Rape doubled in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the first inning.

Boaz Varsity Pirates were the first to get on the board in the first when Grier Maples homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Boaz Varsity Pirates scored five runs on four hits in the top of the second inning. Ava Rhoden singled, scoring one run, Maples hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs, Bailey Lusk singled, scoring one run, and Mackenzie Wedell induced Addison Bowlin to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Boaz Varsity Pirates scored six runs on five hits in the top of the third inning. Rhoden singled, scoring one run, Peyton Hall homered to left field, scoring three runs, and Addison Hardin grounded out, scoring two runs.

Wedell stepped in the circle first for Mountain Brook Varsity Spartans. The righty gave up nine hits and 11 runs (eight earned) over two innings, striking out none and walking two. Hall started in the circle for Boaz Varsity Pirates. The starter gave up eight hits and six runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking one.

Molly Shea went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Anna Kate Shea collected two hits for Mountain Brook Varsity Spartans in two at bats.

Boaz Varsity Pirates accumulated 13 hits in the game. Number eight hitter, Braelyn Burke, showed the depth of Boaz Varsity Pirates's lineup, by leading them with three hits in three at bats. Hall and Maples were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Boaz Varsity Pirates. Lusk and Rhoden each collected multiple hits for Boaz Varsity Pirates.
