Mountain Brook Varsity Spartans scored 11 runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Huffman Varsity Vikings 16-0 on Tuesday at Mountain Brook High School.  Anna Kate Shea drew a walk, scoring one run, Marianna Murray doubled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Anne Turner Goldman doubled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Lily Davis singled, scoring one run, Shea singled, scoring one run, Murray doubled, scoring one run, and Morgan Minich hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs.

Mountain Brook Varsity Spartans added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Huffman Varsity Vikings committed an error, and Addison Presley singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Mountain Brook Varsity Spartans added three runs in the third after Addison Webb tripled down the left field line.

Emma Durr earned the win for Mountain Brook Varsity Spartans. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking none. #2 led things off in the circle for Huffman Varsity Vikings. The hurler gave up 11 hits and 16 runs (five earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking four.
