Thompson Jones led the way with his first Varsity hat-trick while four other Spartans also found the net.
Henry McGahey started us off with a header from a
Harrison Brown corner kick in the 8th minute. The Altamont keeper made several good saves before Thompson scored his first of the night on a penalty in the 17th minute. The Knights keeper continued to stand tall until
Miles McMillan recorded his first Varsity goal with a nice conversion of a
Carson Hahn cross just 2 minutes before half-time. Barely 30 seconds later Carson found the net himself touching a nice pass from
Edmund Ball past the onrushing keeper and it was 4-0 at the break.
Thompson had his 2nd in the 54th with a composed finish from Harrison. He wasn't done though as barely a minute later he stole the ball and slotted into the corner to complete his hat-trick and his night's work.Â
Henry McGahey again scored from a corner kick just a minute later to make it 7-0 with 24 minutes to play.Â
Will Hughes joined in with his first Varsity goal on a penalty to complete the scoring.
For the 2nd game in a row
Griffin Lamkin recorded a shutout with 2 saves.Â
Ladd Bailey and
Jack Sullivan played a big part in that and played the entire game.
